About
Originally from the North East of England, I grew up around communities dominated by mining and other heavy industry, and the discovery that tunnelling took place under the trenches during the First World War was a revelation to me, becoming the driving force and inspiration behind the book.
I’m a musician, have a degree in Ecology and am a founding partner and director of a sustainability consultancy.
Cut The Canary’s Claws is a work of fiction dealing with mental health issues unique to the time of the conflict and is also based on historical fact.
This is my first novel, and am currently working on the second and third books in the series.
